Open to the Public: Civic Space Now

The Center for Architectureʼs exhibition ‘Open to the Public: Civic Space Now,ʼ explores contemporary urban public spaces constructed for congregation, contemplation and circulation. The exhibition breaks the space into those three themes, with large-scale, immersive imagery on each level to bring the visitor into the public space. Angular protrusions were built out from gallery walls to change the shape of the gallery and provoke the user to think about the public space they're currently occupying as well.
